  1. LORD JUSTICE SEDLEY: Mrs Smillie has been called. She is not here. The court received yesterday a fax application from her for an adjournment on the ground that she has been evicted from the houses in question and cannot gain access to her court papers without an appointment. I have no way of knowing how serious the problem. But since nobody except the court is going to be inconvenienced by standing the matter over I shall give her the benefit of the doubt and will stand this application over for one week to be taken at 10.00am next Wednesday, at which time I shall expect Mrs Smillie to have obtained access to her papers and either to be here to make her application or by her absence to indicate that she is abandoning it.
  2. On that basis the matter is adjourned.
  3. (Application adjourned; no order for costs)
