Details of the Transaction

proposal whereby Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited (TCH) would acquire Roscommon Herald Limited. The Authority informed the parties and the Minister that it considers the proposed transaction to be a media merger within the meaning of section 23 of the Competition Act 2002. On 28th April 2004, the Authority requested information within the meaning of section 20(2) of the Act, which information was furnished on 5th May.
