    DECISION

    The decision of the tribunal is that the respondent is ordered to pay to the claimant the sum of £2,977.66

    The claimant appeared in person.

    The respondent did not enter a response and did not appear.

  1. The claimant commenced employment with the respondent on 1 June 2005 and was dismissed as redundant on 23 October 2008. The claimant was born on 17 June 1969. Her wages at the date of dismissal were £380.77 gross and £318.23 net. Her contractual notice entitlement was one month.

  2. The respondent has not paid the claimant the money she was entitled to on her dismissal. The claimant had taken more than her contractual entitlement for holidays and an amount for this had already been deducted from her September salary by the respondent. However there still remained a shortfall in her September salary of £290.43.

    3. 3. The claimant had advanced the sum of £140.00 to the respondent in September to assist with the payment of wages to another employee. The tribunal does not have jurisdiction to deal with this claim for £140.00 advanced to the respondent as this claim does not arise from the claimant's contract of employment.

  3. The tribunal computes the amounts to which the claimant is entitled as follows:-

    Pay in lieu of notice 1 month x £1,379.00 £1,379.00

    Unpaid Wages September £290.43

    October Pay 1 week x £318.23 £318.23
