DECISION
The decision of the tribunal is that the claimant is entitled to the sum of £2,625.00 in respect of redundancy payment.

Reasons
1. I considered the oral and documentary evidence provided by the claimant and was satisfied that the sum of £2,625.00 was payable in respect of a redundancy payment calculated as follows:
The claimant’s date of birth is 7 September 1957
Dates of employment April 2004 to 30 September 2009 = 5 years
Age at 30 September 2009 = 52
Gross pay per month £1903.27 = £439.22 gross weekly pay
The gross weekly for the redundancy payment calculation is subject to a statutory cap which at the time of the claimant’s effective date of termination was £350.00 per week.
2. Redundancy calculation: 5 years x 1½ x £350.00 = £2625.00.
3. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (NI) 1990.
