DEFAULT JUDGEMENT (Liability & Quantum)
1. No response has been presented by the respondent within any relevant
time
limit. I have decided to determine the claimant’s claim for a
redundancy payment, notice pay and holiday pay without a hearing.
2. The claimant’s redundancy pay, notice pay and holiday pay claims are well-founded.
3. It is ordered that the respondent shall pay to the claimant the sum of £275 in respect of holiday pay.
4. It is ordered that the respondent shall
pay to the claimant the sum of
£1,859 in respect of notice pay.
5. It is declared that the respondent is liable to make a redundancy payment of £9,042 to the claimant.
6. The amount awarded in respect of
redundancy pay takes account of (1)
the claimant’s weekly pay of £393.11 (2) his length of service of more than 20
years and (3) his age (47) at the time of dismissal.
