THE INDUSTRIAL TRIBUNALS

DECISION
The decision of the tribunal is that:-
(i) the claimant’s claim against the respondent in respect of unauthorised deductions from her wages is dismissed; and
(ii) I order that the claimant do pay to the respondent the sum of £500.00, plus VAT thereon, in respect of its costs.

The respondent was represented by Ms A Finnegan, Barrister-at-Law, instructed by Education & Library Boards Solicitors.
1. The claimant’s claim, as set out above, is dismissed for reasons given at the hearing.
2. I am satisfied that the claim was misconceived, and I order that the claimant do pay to the respondent the sum of £500.00, together with VAT thereon, in respect of costs incurred by the latter.
In making this Order for Costs, I have had regard to the claimant’s means.
