1. The claimant was employed by the respondent from November 1995 to 3 February 2012 when he was dismissed on the grounds of redundancy.
2. The claimant’s age at the time of dismissal was 50. He had 16 completed years of service with the respondent. His gross weekly wage was £272.00.
3. His statutory redundancy entitlement is:-
20.5 x £272.00 = £5,576.00
4. The respondent’s assets are under the control of NAMA and he gave evidence that he was insolvent.
5. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
