(A)      I am satisfied that C Magorrian Electrics Ltd (in liquidation) is liable to make a redundancy payment of £3,145 to the claimant.

 

(B)      The claimant’s appeal under Article 233 of the Employment Rights Order (“ERO”) is dismissed.

REASONS

 

1. I announced my decision at the end of the hearing.  At the same time, I gave brief oral reasons for that decision.

 

2.     I was satisfied that the claimant was an honest witness.

 

3.     I was satisfied that it is just and equitable for the claimant to receive this redundancy payment (See Article 199 (2) of ERO).

 

4. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunal (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
