LAW REFORM (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1951 LAW REFORM (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1951 - LONG TITLE An Act to amend the law relating to divorce and other matrimonial proceedings, the admissibility of evidence as to access, and the charge and payment of percentage under the Lunacy Regulation (Ireland) Act, 1871; to amend the Public Authorities Protection Act, 1893; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid. S.6 omitted by 1962 c.30 s.7(9) sch.1 Pt.I LAW REFORM (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1951 - SECT 7 Evidence of access. 7.[(1) Notwithstanding any rule of law, the evidence of a husband or wife shall be admissible in any proceedings to prove that marital intercourse did or did not take place between them during any period.] (2) Notwithstanding anything in this section or any rule of law, a husband or wife shall not be compellable in any proceedings to give evidence of the matters aforesaid.
