Use of certain expressions. 73.(1) Whever in any enactment there occurs the expression "idiot," "imbecile," "mental defective," "mental defectiveness," "mental deficiency" or other cognate expression, there shall be substituted the expression "person suffering from arrested or incomplete development of mind," "person requiring special care" "arrested or incomplete development of mind," or such other cognate expression as by virtue of any of the provisions of this Act the context may require. (2) The Governor of Northern Ireland may by Order in Council modify the wording of any enactment so far as is necessary to bring it into conformity with the provisions of this Act.
