The Lyon Court and Office Fees (Variation) (No. 2) Order 2008

Coming into force in accordance with article 1(1)

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of, as read with paragraph 3 of Schedule 3 to, the Public Expenditure and Receipts Act 1968(1) and of all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.–(1) This Order may be cited as the Lyon Court and Office Fees (Variation) (No. 2) Order 2008 and shall come into force immediately after the coming into force of the Lyon Court and Office Fees (Variation) Order 2008(2).

(2) In this Order "internet search" means a search in the indexes and digitised records of the Court of the Lord Lyon made available on the internet, made by any person by means of the internet with the permission of the Lord Lyon.

Variation of fees

2. Schedule B to the Lyon King of Arms Act 1867(3) is amended in accordance with Article 3 of, and the Schedule to, this Order.

3.–(1) The contents of the Schedule to this Order are inserted after Part 1 of Schedule B(4) as Part 2 of Schedule B.

(2) Schedule B (except Parts 1 and 2) is revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order varies the fees payable in respect of devolved functions in Schedule B to the Lyon King of Arms Act 1867 by replacing them with the fees listed in the Schedule to this Order. The Lyon Court and Office Fees (Variation) Order 2008 varied the fees payable in respect of reserved functions in Schedule B by replacing them with the fees listed in the Schedule to that Order.
