The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(2) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation and Commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Scottish Sentencing Council (Submission of Business Plan) Order 2016 and comes into force on 7th March 2016

Day for Submission of Business Plan

2.  The submission day for the purposes of section 12(2)(a) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 is 26th September 2016.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order specifies the day before which the Scottish Sentencing Council must prepare and submit, to Scottish Ministers, its first business plan, setting out how it proposes to carry out its functions, in accordance with section 12 of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.
