Decision notes [2019] UKFTT 92 (PC). Step-father and step-daughter. The applicant and the respondent’s mother were joint tenants of a property. The mother died in 2016. The applicant applied for first registration of the property. The respondent objected to the registration unless a restriction was also noted on the title to reflect the fact that, on her case, the joint tenancy had been severed and the Applicant held the property on trust for himself and the Respondent. There was clear and compelling evidence that the joint tenancy had been severed.
