Summary: The complainant has requested all information held by the council from 1 March 2008 where his name has been mentioned. The Information Commissioner-™s (-˜the commissioner-™s-™) decision is that the council did not deal with the request for information in accordance with the FOIA as it failed to provide a response to the request within the statutory time frame of 20 working days. The Commissioner requires the council to take the following steps to ensure compliance with the legislation: to respond to the request in accordance with the requirements of the FOIA.
