Summary: The complainant made requests to East Sussex County Council (-the council-) relating to issues involving his wife. The council cited section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (-the FOIA-), the exclusion relating to vexatious requests. The council also said that some of the requests should be considered separately under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 (-the DPA-). The Commissioner-s decision is that the council correctly relied on the exclusion under section 14(1) in relation to information that falls within the scope of the FOIA.
