The complainant has requested information redacted from the Official Record of the Northern Ireland Assembly. The Assembly refused to provide this information, relying on the exemption at section 40(2) of FOIA (third party personal data). The Commissioner’s decision is that the Assembly is entitled to rely on section 40(2) in respect of some of the withheld information, but not in respect of the remainder. The Commissioner requires the Assembly to disclose the portion of the withheld information described in the confidential annex.
