Wychavon District Council

The complainant has requested information held by Wychavon District Council (the council) about the operation of CCTV within the local area of Evesham. Whilst the council released some information, it issued a refusal notice in response to question 4 and question 6 of the complainant’s request, citing the exemption at section 31(1)(a) – the prevention and detection of crime, of FOIA. The Commissioner has decided that the council is entitled to rely on section 31(1)(a) as its basis for withholding the information relevant to question 4 and question 6 of the complainant’s request.

FOI 31(1)(a): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 254519
