The complainant has requested information about the handling of SARs. The above public authority provided some information and stated that the remainder was not held. The Commissioner's decision is that the request was unclear and therefore the public authority had an obligation to seek clarification. As it failed to do so, it failed to comply with section 16 of FOIA. The Commissioner requires the public authority to take the following steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.
