The complainant requested from the Langton Grammar School for Boys (the School) information relating to the reconstitution of the Langton Governing Body, including internal and external communications with relevant parties. The School originally refused the request and cited section 14(2) (repeated requests) of FOIA. It subsequently revised its position and determined the request to be vexatious, relying on section 14(1) (vexatious requests) of FOIA. The Commissioner's decision is that the request was vexatious and the School was entitled to rely on section 14(1) of FOIA to refuse to comply with the request for information. The Commissioner does not require the School to take any steps as a result of this decision.
