The complainant submitted a request to UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) seeking information about research integrity. UKRI provided information it held falling within the scope of the request with the exception of one email chain which it withheld on the basis of section 41(1) of FOIA. The Commissioner's decision is that the email chain in question is exempt from disclosure on the basis of section 41(1) of FOIA. With regard to the complainant's other grounds of complaint, the Commissioner is satisfied that UKRI interpreted and correctly located (and either disclosed or withheld on the basis of section 41(1)), all of the information falling within the scope of the request.
