Summary
The invention relates to a system for scanning codes and to a system for augmenting scannable codes to provide enhanced information and content. When an element is scanned a check is performed to see whether the information in the element is associated with a two-dimensional code in a database. When a match is found, the two-dimensional code is decoded and a vector is provided to identify rich media, such as videos, images and documents, that are then forwarded to the scanning device.
The hearing officer rejected the applicant-™s construction of the claim and found that the contribution related to the linking of the scannable element to the two-dimensional code in the database and this does not make a technical contribution.
