The Fishguard-�Bangor Trunk Road A487 (Port Dinorwic By-Pass) Order 1989

The Secretary of State for Wales makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980(1) and of all other enabling powers:-�

1. The new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct along the route described in Schedule 1 to this Order shall become a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force.

2. The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

3. The length of trunk road described in Schedule 2 to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall become a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Gwynedd that the new trunk road is open for through traffic.

4. In this Order:-�

(i)"the deposited plan"means the plan numbered HA 10/2 WO 68 marked "The Fishguard-�Bangor Trunk Road A487 (Port Dinorwic By-Pass) Order 1989", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Wales and deposited at the Welsh Office Repository, Curran Embankment, Cardiff;

(ii)"the new trunk road"means the highway mentioned in article 1 of this Order;

5. This Order shall come into force on 24th November 1989, and may be cited as the Fishguard-Bangor Trunk Road A487 (Port Dinorwic By-Pass) Order 1989.

SCHEDULE 1ROUTE OF THE NEW TRUNK ROAD

A route about 4.58 kilometres in length starting at a point about 200 metres north-east of Llanfair Hall Lodge and extending in a general north-easterly direction to the junction of the A487 and A4087 at Vaynol Roundabout.

SCHEDULE 2LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD

The length of trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is that length of the A487 Trunk Road starting at a point about 200 metres north of Llanfair Hall Lodge and extending in a general north-easterly direction to its junction with the Vaynol Roundabout.
