The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State, being Ministers designated(1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Economic Community, acting jointly in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said section 2(2), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Common Agricultural Policy (Wine) (Amendment) Regulations 1993, shall apply throughout the United Kingdom and shall come into force on 1st January 1994.
2.-(1) The Common Agricultural Policy (Wine) Regulations 1993(3) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.
(2) For item 32 of Schedule 1 there shall be substituted the following:
(a)for the first column:
"32. Commission Regulation (EEC) No.2238/93(4) on the accompanying documents for the carriage of wine products and the relevant records to be kept"; and
(b)for the second column:
"OJ No. L200, 10.8.93, p. 10".
(3) For column 2 of item 1 of Schedule 2 there shall be substituted the following:
"Regulation 2238/93: all Articles except 3(3), 7(1), 7(2), 7(3), 7(5), 7(6), 9, 18, 20, 21 and 22".

These Regulations, which apply throughout the United Kingdom and come into force on 1st January 1994, amend the Common Agricultural Policy (Wine) Regulations 1993, which provide for the enforcement of specified EEC Regulations.One of the EEC Regulations (Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 986/89 on the accompanying documents for carriage of wine products and the relevant records to be kept as amended) was repealed and replaced by Commission Regulation (EEC) No.2238/93 which covers the same subject matter.The amendment accordingly replaces references to, and to provisions of, the repealed EEC Regulation by references to, and to provisions of, the replacement EEC Regulation.
