1. The Doncaster Borough Council (North Bridge Relief Road) (Crossing of Navi-gable Waterway (Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut)) Scheme 1991 is hereby confirmed without modifications.
2. The said Scheme as confirmed (hereinafter referred to as "the Scheme") is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme with its accompanying plans are deposited at the offices of the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY; and at the offices of the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Director of Public Works, 15 South Parade, Doncaster.
3. The Scheme will become operative on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980.
4. This Instrument may be cited as the Doncaster Borough Council (North Bridge Relief Road) (Crossing of Navigable Waterway (Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut)) Scheme 1991 Confirmation Instrument 1993.

The Doncaster Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council"make this Scheme in exercise of their powers under Section 106(3) of the Highways Act 1980 and of all other enabling powers:
1. The council are authorised to construct over the navigable waters of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut the Bridge specified in the Schedule to the Scheme as part of the highway which they are proposing to construct from the A19 St Mary's Roundabout in a general easterly direction to the A630 Church Way in the Borough of Doncaster in the County of South Yorkshire.
2. This Scheme may be cited as "The Doncaster Borough Council (North Bridge Relief Road) (Crossing of Navigable Waterway (Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut)) Scheme 1991"
The general design and site of the Bridge are shown respectively on the plan and map annexed hereto
From a point 5 metres west of the west bank of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut map reference 457433 east 403800 north. To a point 15 metres east of the east bank of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation River Don New Cut map reference 457470 east 403770 north. All on Ordnance Sheet SE 5703.
The bridge will be 21.4 metres wide and will carry two carriageways each of 7.3 metres width. The central reserve between the carriageways will be 2.9 metres wide and the verges will be 1.2 metres wide. The Bridge will have an overall length of 47.45 metres on the North Elevation and 46.55 metres on the South Elevation.
The main navigation span is 28.0 metres being the clear distance between the banks at the centre line.
4.9 metres minimum above water level (7.7 metres AOD).
