In exercise of the power conferred upon him by section 15(1) of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997(1), the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 (Commencement) (No. 1) Order 1997.
2. Sections 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 to 12 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 shall come into force on 16th June 1997.

This Order brings into force on 16th June 1997 sections 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 to 12 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. Sections 13 to 16 of that Act came into force on 21st March 1997.
