The A58 Trunk Road (Halifax to M62 Motorway, Chain Bar) (Detrunking) Order 2002

  Made 14th January 2002 
  Coming into force 28th January 2002 

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

     1. This Order may be cited as the A58 Trunk Road (Halifax to M62 Motorway, Chain Bar) (Detrunking) Order 2002 and shall come into force on Monday 28th January 2002.

    
2. In this Order - 

     3. The length of the trunk road described in the schedule to this Order shall cease to be trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the date on which this Order comes into force.

SCHEDULE

LENGTH OF TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE TRUNK ROAD


The length of the trunk road ceasing to be trunk road is shown by broad black dashes on the plan and is situated between a point where the A58 Trunk Road crosses the Red Beck Stream (Grid Reference SE116 257) (marked "A" on the plan) and the junction with the M62 roundabout at Chain Bar (Grid Reference SE418 000, 426 600) (marked "B" on the plan) a distance of approximately 8.41km.
