In Schedule 9 (Air Traffic Controllers-Ratings), for paragraph 2(3) substitute -
"
(3) An Approach Radar Control Rating shall, subject to article 81(4) of this Order, entitle the holder of the licence to act as an air traffic controller in the course of the provision of an approach control service, with the aid of any type of surveillance radar equipment either within the Channel Islands Control Zone or outside that Zone, in accordance with the provisions of any agreement in that respect made between the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority or the Direction Générale d'Aviation Civile of the Republic of France and the Committee."".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Air Navigation (Jersey) Order 2000 that extended the Air Navigation (No. 2) Order 1995 to Jersey. A further modification is added to those contained in the Schedule to the 2000 Order to alter the Approach Radar Control Rating. The effect is that approach control services may be provided, with the aid of surveillance radar equipment, in an area within or outside the Channel Islands Control Zone in accordance with any agreement made by the relevant authorities in the United Kingdom or France, and Jersey.
