BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES

The Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No.1) Order 2005

  Made 27th August 2005 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 358(1) and (2) of the Gambling Act 2005[1], hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Commencement No.1) Order 2005.

     2. Section 355 of the Gambling Act 2005 shall come into force on the day after this Order is made.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order brings into force section 355 of the Gambling Act 2005 which makes provision with respect to regulations, orders and rules made under that Act.
