The Buckinghamshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2006

  Made 14th March 2006 
  Coming into force 1st April 2006 

The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1], and by paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2].

     The Secretary of State for Health considers it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order, having completed the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[3].

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Buckinghamshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 1st April 2006.

Dissolution of NHS trust
    
2. The Buckinghamshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust established by The Buckinghamshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2001[4] is dissolved, and accordingly that Order is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 2006 of the Buckinghamshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust established on 19thFebruary 2001.

[1] 1977 c.49; section 126(3) was amended by section 65(2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c.19), paragraph 57 of Schedule 1 to the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c.17) ("the 1995 Act") and section 41(10) of, and paragraph 27 of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service (Primary Care) Act 1997 (c.46). The health functions of the Secretary of State are, so far as exercisable in relation to Wales, transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2(a) of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999, S.I. 1999/672, as amended by section 66(5) of the Health Act 1999 (c.8) ("the 1999 Act").back
