The Fire and Rescue Services (Appointment of Inspector) (England) Order 2013

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 15th day of May 2013

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004(1), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation, commencement and application

1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Fire and Rescue Services (Appointment of Inspector) (England) Order 2013 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

(2) This Order applies in relation to the discharge of functions by fire and rescue authorities whose areas are in England only.

Appointment of inspector

2.  Peter Michael Holland is appointed an inspector for the purposes of section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004.

Revocation of appointment

3.  The Fire and Rescue Services (Appointment of Inspector) Order 2007(2) is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints Peter Holland as an inspector under section 28(1) of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004. It also revokes the 2007 Order which appointed his predecessor, Sir Kenneth Knight.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the business or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
