CIVIL AVIATION

The Rules of the Air (Amendment) Regulations 2001

  Made 9th March 2001 
  Coming into force 1st April 2001 

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 84(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2000[1] and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Rules of the Air (Amendment) Regulations 2001, and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.

    
2. The First Schedule to the Rules of the Air Regulations 1996[2] shall be amended by substituting for rule 31(3)(a):

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations further amend the Rules of the Air Regulations 1996 by requiring an aircraft commander to fly in conformity with any notified instrument departure procedures.
