ELECTRICITY

The Electricity Act 1989 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2001

  Made 16th October 2001 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 113(2) of the Electricity Act 1989[1], hereby makes the following Order: - 

     1.  - (1) This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 1989 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2001.

    (2) In this Order "the Act" means the Electricity Act 1989.

     2. The following provisions of the Electricity Act 1989 shall come into force on 9th November 2001 -

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order brings into force on 9th November 2001 certain repeals which relate to the Electricity Council and the Central Electricity Generating Board, as those bodies have now been dissolved.


NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS

The following provisions of the Electricity Act 1989 have been brought into force by two Commencement Orders made on 2nd August 1989 and 29th January 1990.

Sections 3 to 5, 6(1) to (8), 6(9) (partially), 6(10) and (11), 7 to 63, 64 (partially), 71 to 84, 87, 88, 90, 93, 96, 98 to 103, 108, 109 and 112(1) to (3) and (4) (partially), and Schedules 3 to 9, 11, 13, 16, 17 (partially) and 18 (partially). 31st March 1990. 1990/117.
