SOCIAL SECURITY

The Back to Work Bonus (Amendment) Regulations 2004

  Made 28th June 2004 
  Laid before Parliament 5th July 2004 
  Coming into force 25th October 2004 

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 26, 35(1) and 36(2) to (5) of the Jobseekers Act 1995[1] and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that the proposals in regards of these Regulations should not be referred to it[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Back to Work Bonus (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 25th October 2004, immediately after the Social Security (Back to Work Bonus and Lone Parent Run-on) (Amendment and Revocation) Regulations 2003[3].

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)


These Regulations amend the Social Security (Back to Work Bonus and Lone Parent Run-on) (Amendment and Revocation) Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/1589) to provide for an extended period of transitional protection for claimants who comply with the requirements contained in the Back to Work Bonus (No. 2) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/2570) on or before 28th January 2005.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for the instrument as it has no impact on the costs of business.
